GIRL: Out of all of the girls that surround him, he won't notice me - because I am me. I am this girl who likes to pig out, who sports boyish clothes and someone who reads Tolstoy instead of crying to mainstream romance novels. Whenever I try to talk to him, I blush and stutter. I don't know what else to say aside from "hi" or "hello". I want to be with him but I cannot simply compose myself because he is so damn perfect.
BOY: There is this girl who never fails to catch my attention. She is this one girl who is never conscious about who she looks like and has that confidence of a natural woman. Sometimes, I spot her reading Tolstoy and somehow that convinced me to read it as well instead of reading mainstream romance novels. I don't know why she doesn't say anything aside from "hi" or "hello". Maybe she doesn't find me interesting. I want to be with her, but I am not that perfect for a girl like her.

Dear future girlfriend

I clearly have no idea on who you are, what you look like, where you reside, how you act and when we’ll meet but one thing is for sure: I’ll love you with all that I am.

Whenever you needed someone who can help you with another Science project or a program proposal, I promise that I’ll be present. I’ll be with you even if the clock strikes midnight just for you to finish what you have to do. We’ll have coffee and each other’s company.

If you had a bad time at school or at work, I promise to be available for you to talk to. I’ll will instantly pick up the phone if I saw your name on the screen. I’ll give you ample amount of advice but I will let you decide on your own because your decision is what matters the most.

One day, if someone called you fat, ugly or stupid, I’ll stand by you and let that person calling you know that he or she definitely got you wrong. Every action you do defines yourself and that what makes you beautiful. It’s because you are who you are and you’re proud of it.

I’ll make sure that you feel safe and happy.

I promise you that whenever I see you across the hallway or whenever possible, I’ll point out to you and tell everyone out loud that beautiful girl is my girlfriend.

When you’re down with flu, I promise to take care of you and be with you during that trying time.

I’ll try every possible way in order not to be just the next guy or be like the other guys. I’ll show to you that I am worthy enough and will let you show that forever really doesn’t end.

I promise to give you a huge space in my life and I won’t hide a thing. I’ll provide anything that you need in order for you to feel secure.

I’ll cuddle you. I’ll hug you from the back. I’ll try to bake you cake for your birthday. I’ll hold your hand whenever we’re together.

If permitted, I hope that we’ll get married because I know that you’re the one I want to spend my whole life with.

We’ll name our kids to whatever we both like. We’ll be there to support them and won’t let them experience what we negatively experienced with our families.

We will show them that the both of us are good parents.

Right now, all I have to do is wait for you to come. I promise that I won’t let go if you come in to my life. Let me know if you feel the same way too.

One day, we’ll be together.

Only yours,

Roi

Date a Guy Who Reads

Date a guy who reads. Date that someone who spends time inside a local library in search of another good book to read. He wants to read about the story of two people sharing everlasting love, because he does know that it still exists in this day and age.

He is that person who doesn’t care if you see him crying over a Nicholas Sparks novel or caught up with the thrill that Stephen King has to offer. He is always in touch with the story of the book and never losses thoughts about any character.

Ever seen a guy who spends so much on books rather that on clothes? Bookmark him. He is that person who you will walk on the aisle with while you are wearing your white wedding dress.

Find this guy who appreciate writers and their works. Even if he has read the book for the most number of times, you can still see the pages of the book looking crisp and fresh, like it was brand new. It breaks his heart to see one of his books soiled. He doesn’t want dog-eared pages or the ones who doesn’t have cover on them. He will take his time repairing them.

You can see him occasionally talking to the librarian. And for a change the librarian is actually talking to him and she is even smiling at him now. Makes you wonder what sort of a charm does he cast.

He’s flawed, like every man, but he tries his damnedest not to be. Rest assured though, when he screws up he knows the power of a well-worded apology because he knows that the greatest heroes often trip on their capes. He knows he’s no different than a good novel; he unfolds a chapter at a time.

On a bus ride, you can see him closing his world on everyone else because he is reading that Shakespeare classic. He doesn’t really mind about the girls around him. For him, he wants another person who will completely understand why he is reading that book and will spend some time with him reading the same book.

Date a man who reads. He’ll understand your need to keep the bedside lamp on till 2 in the morning because you couldn’t possibly go to sleep before reading the last chapter. And when you’re done with that last chapter, he’ll consume your thoughts as voraciously as he does your body.

Don’t pretend in front of him. He can see through you if you are saying things just to sound intelligent. Buy him a cup of coffee and make him talk on the books he loves. You can listen to his eloquent words for hours together. Don’t be scared if you get lost in Middle Earth. He will guide you through.

Date a guy who reads because you deserve it. He is that person who will offer his life to you, just like that protagonist on his favorite novel.

How to Deal With a Break Up

Breaking up with the person you love or the mere fact of ending a wanted relationship is probably one of the most difficult things to do but we have to admit, moving on is more of a task.

Most people usually dwell on the fact that their relationship ended rather than dealing with the situation and having some positive mojo.

Here are the 10 ways on how to cope up with a break up or how to move on from an ended relationship.

  1. Forget about revenge - Don’t mind your ex-partner and just focus on yourself even just for a while. Revenge won’t help you move on. It will just make things worse for the both of you.
  2. Reward yourself - Treat yourself to a movie or to a mug of one hot Starbucks. Most importantly, pamper yourself. You need to do a “myself work” in order for you to have positive energies flowing.
  3. Find a new hobby - Search for a new hobby or a new interest so that your attention will be diverted to something else. This will help you focus on a different thing and not about the break up.
  4. Connect with other people - Go out with your friends or spend some time with your family. It always matters to remember what matters the most, which is both family and friends. They always got your back through thick and thin.
  5. Acceptance - Accept the fact that it is over. You have to face reality with courage.
  6. Give yourself time - Allow yourself to heal even if it takes you so long. It is important that you will let all of the wounds heal before having another battle or being committed to another person. Time is the name of the game.
  7. Disconnect - Disconnect with your partner to the extremes. Communication with an ex-partner won’t provide you enough space to heal.
  8. Music helps - Listen to music that doesn’t help you remember your previous relationship. Music should help you move on and not dwell on the fact that you’re hurt and everything is over.
  9. Move on - Surround yourself with people who respect your feelings as much as they respect you as a person. You have to look forward since it what matters the most.
  10. Be happy - Let yourself get more out of life. Enjoy and gain some positive mojo. Channel your energies to something that makes you happy and what makes everything worthwhile.
